••• Speed Beep •••
Speed Beep is a control panel extension for all Macintoshes running System 6.0.2 or greater. It is fully System 7 compatible and works fine with virtual memory or 32 bit addressing turned on.
Speed Beep allows you to keep using your Macintosh while a beep sound is playing. This is obviously especially helpful if you use longer beep sounds, but it also eliminates the delay you encounter when a number of short beeps play in a row. Speed Beep also gives you random beeps with a variety of configurable settings, and can allow 2 beeps to play at the same time on some Macintoshes.
To use Speed Beep, put it in your control panels folder and restart your Macintosh; full online documentation is available by opening the Speed Beep control panel and clicking the Help button.
